Responsibilities:
As a clinical expert in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence care, you will:
- Exercise independent practice within established Standardized Procedures.
- Conduct assessments and make care recommendations, crafting precise orders for patient wounds, ostomy, and continence care.
Specialized Procedures Performed:
- Stoma site selection and marking
- Stoma calibration and prosthesis selection
- Treatment of peristomal skin
- Removal of ostomy bridge or rod
- Ileostomy/colostomy lavage
- Intubation of continent ostomies, and more.
Requirements:
- BSN or MSN, or enrollment in an RN-BSN or RN-MSN program within 1 year of hire, with completion within 5 years of hire (if hired after July 1, 2012).
- Active California RN license.
- American Heart Association BLS; Wound Care certification within 6 months of hire.
