Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, consult, and provide individualized treatment plans based on the physical needs of pediatric patients.
  • Specialize in understanding children's expected growth and development.
  • Assist children in enhancing mobility to safely participate in various activities at home, in the community, classroom, and on the playground.
  • Focus on teaching essential movement activities such as crawling, walking, running, playing games, participating in sports, and other physical activities.
  • Improve children's body dynamics, gait pattern, balance, strength, and coordination.
  • Assess positioning, ergonomics, and make recommendations for orthotics, mobility aids (e.g., wheelchairs, TheraTogs, inserts, other supports) to facilitate safe access to different environments.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Pediatric specialization or experience working with children.
  • State licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Strong understanding of children's growth and development.
  • Passion for helping children achieve optimal mobility and physical well-being.
