Histology Technicians are needed for an established GI Pathology Laboratory in beautiful Sarasota Florida area. Permanent and temporary positions available!
Schedule: Mon – Fri. Various shifts are available: Priority is to fill evening and nights (2PM-11PM)and (10pm -6:30am)
Position overview: A large part of your work day will be IHC (gastric, small intestine, large intestine, esophagus). Embedding/ cutting of small biopsies with precision. Embedding, cutting, staining (95% automated) and IHC on various platforms. No frozen with limited grossing.
Ideal Candidates:
- Must have ASCP HT/ HLT certification and Florida Histology License.
- Must have some knowledge of GI Pathology process and be able to be able to do embedding, cutting of small biopsies with precision.
- Must be able to do embedding, cutting, staining (95% automated), strong IHC on various platforms. No frozen. Some grossing.
- Must have strong knowledge of specimen processing – prepare slides for pathologists, operate computerized laboratory equipment.
