We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our outpatient pediatric Primary Care team. This role providers advanced nursing care and physician support in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, skilled provider who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to infants, children, and adolescents, including diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of medical conditions.
- Conduct well-child exams, immunizations, and school/extra-curricular physicals to support overall pediatric health.
- Obtain patient history, assess physical and mental development, and ensure early detection of potential health concerns.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, lab work, and imaging studies to guide treatment decisions.
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
- prescribe medications, manage chronic illnesses, and educate families on preventive care and wellness strategies.
- Maintain and update accurate electronic medical records. (EMR) to ensure continuity of care.
- Act as a resource for patients and families, providing guidance on childhood development, nutrition, and health promotion.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, patient-centered care and improve health outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP required).
- Active NP licensure in the state of California.
- Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) board certification.
- 2-4 years of pediatric primary care or a related setting.
