Exciting Opportunity for NP or PA in a Fast-Paced Internal Medicine Observation Unit (Night Shift)
We are actively seeking skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioners Or Physician Assistants to join our Internal Medicine Observation Team in an inpatient, acute-care setting. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working nights, and want to be part of a collaborative, high-functioning team -this is the role for you!
Position Highlights:
- Shifts: 7:00pm – 7:00am, three (3) nights per week
- Schedule: Practice Manager maintains a rolling 3-month schedule for advanced planning
- Team-Based Care: You'll work alongside another night-shift provider and have access to on-call hospitalists for support and case discussion.
- Patient Load: Average of 18 admissions per night, with peak activity from 4pm – 2am.
- No Call Required
- Credentialing Required (Emergency privileges available to start quickly)
Requirements:
- Active CDS and DEA Licenses in NJ
- Acute care experience is essential – This is a fast-moving environment not suited for new grads or those unfamiliar with inpatient care
- Ability to think on your feet, manage multiple admissions, and function well under pressure
