Locum Tenens Psychiatrist Needed | Inpatient C-L Psychiatry | NJ Licensed | Aug – Dec 2025
Are you a Board-Certified Psychiatrist licensed in New Jersey looking for a high-impact, no-call locums assignment? This is your chance to step into a clinically engaging and well-supported Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry role – without the long-term strings or burnout of a W2 job.
A leading academic hospital in New Jersey is seeking Locum Tenens Psychiatric Coverage starting August 11 through December 26,2025. This is an inpatient-based, hospital consult service focused on medically complex patients in a level 1 Trauma Center – Ideal for psychiatrists who enjoy team-based care in high-acuity settings.
Position Highlights:
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (4-day workweek)
- Setting: Inpatient Psychiatry | Consultation-Liaison Service
- Patient Load: ~4 new consults + 6 follow-ups per day
- Team Based: 2 Psychiatrist share coverage daily | Clerical staff support
- Call: Absolutely none
- EMR: Epic (unified system, inpatient only)
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Psychiatry (ABPN)
- Active NJ Medical License
- Available for entire coverage period (Aug 11 – Dec 26, 2025)
- Prior CL Psychiatry or Hospital-based consult experience preferred
- Credentialing Takes 60 – 75 days – early applications will be prioritized
