Join the elite trauma team at a nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center. We're seeking a locums orthopedic trauma surgeon to provide expert surgical care and on-call trauma support for a high-acuity, high-volume service.
🏥 Hospital Highlights:
- Level I Adult Trauma Center serving Missouri and Illinois
- Daily trauma census of 35–45 patients
- 2–3 dedicated orthopedic trauma ORs daily
- Strong support team including residents, NPs, and clinical trauma nurses
- Access to fellowship-trained orthopedic traumatologists
- EMR: Epic
🔧 Clinical Scope Includes:
- High-energy fractures, polytrauma, and periarticular injuries
- Ilizarov techniques, pelvic/acetabular reconstruction
- Advanced hindfoot, ankle, and limb deformity correction
- No elective clinic unless requested
📅 Job Details:
- Shifts: 24-hour call; frequency flexible
- Support: In-house backup from trauma fellows and residents
- Credentialing: Streamlined for locums; malpractice provided
- Housing and travel: Covered
