Palm Health is hiring an experienced Orthopedic Hand Surgery Advanced Practice Provider in Beautiful Northern California for a 3-6 month locum contract!
Will consider either Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for the contract!
The candidate must have extensive Orthopedic Hand Trauma Surgery or Plastics hand surgery experience.
The provider will work 3 12 hour night shifts each week! Palm Health will cover your Mal Practice, Lodging, Travel, Rental Car or Mileage and MUCH MORE!
Nurse Practitioner specializing in orthopedic hand surgery within a high-acuity academic medical center. Provides comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic hand and upper extremity conditions, including trauma, degenerative disorders, and post-surgical recovery. Collaborates closely with orthopedic surgeons, residents, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care across outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, and perioperative environments.
Responsibilities include conducting detailed assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing and implementing treatment plans, assisting in surgical procedures, and managing post-operative care. Demonstrates strong clinical judgment, procedural skills, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through education, research integration, and adherence to best practices.
Supports the mission of academic medicine through participation in quality improvement initiatives, teaching opportunities, and continuous professional development while maintaining a focus on compassionate, culturally competent care.
