Locum Neurosurgery Physician Assistant – San Francisco, CA
We are seeking an experienced Neurosurgery Physician Assistant for a full-time locum assignment in San Francisco, CA. This role includes inpatient coverage, outpatient clinic support, and OR assistance within a high-acuity neuro-trauma environment.
Schedule
- Full-time coverage needed
- 4x10s weekly
- Shift hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- There will be weekend coverage as part of the Schedule! No Call!
Practice Setting
- Inpatient census: 8–15 patients/day
- Outpatient census: ~20 patients/day (shared with attending)
- Heavy neuro-trauma patient population
- APPs assist with inpatient care, clinic coverage, and OR support
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of Neurosurgery experience
- Required inpatient and outpatient experience
- MUST have Level 1 Trauma experience
- Neuro-trauma experience required
- Preferred first assist experience
Procedures/Skills
- APP must independently remove surgical drains
- Other bedside procedures performed with attending oversight
Certifications & EMR
- Active BLS & ACLS required
- EMR: Epic
