We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) for a full-year locum tenens assignment in Portland, Oregon. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CT surgery provider to join an inpatient cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgical team and play an integral role in operative care, patient management, and follow-up.
The assignment is available ASAP for approximately one year, providing an opportunity for continuity and meaningful involvement with the surgical service.

Clinical Responsibilities
The selected NP/PA will support cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgery cases in an inpatient environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as first assist during cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures. (approximately 40%)
- Perform vein harvesting — required.
- Radial artery harvesting — preferred, but not required.
- Participate in inpatient rounding and postoperative patient management / clinic (60%)
Requirements
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Active Oregon license, preferred will wait for right candidate, will need to get WA license as some telehealth follow up with WA residents due to proximity of location.
