Hot locum Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant Opportunity in Sacramento, CA!
- Looking for ASAP start date(August or September)
- Four 10-hour shifts per week, with OR-only call one weeknight per week and one weekend per month. Daily hours can be variable depending on OR schedule.
- Shift times: 0630-1630, 4 days a week (M-F) – but end of shift can vary depending on cases
- There aren't any scheduled night shifts, but if we're on overnight call, we're on call from when we leave the hospital until 0630 the next morning. Weekends are 24 hr call (0630-0630).
- How often called back in? This is a busy program with 8 surgeons, so we do get called back for emergent cases after hours. The first-call PA gets called back around one out of every five nights on call, but it's highly variable.

- Duties: This is an OR-only position. Duties include endoscopic vein harvesting (Maquet Vasoview 2), open vein harvesting, first and second assisting in all cases, placement of arterial lines, and all related procedures.
