Histotechnologist needed for well establish GI Pathology Laboratory in beautiful Sarasota Florida area. Leading Gastroenterology group is expanding and looking for strong individuals to join their team. A large part of your work day will be IHC. (gastric, small intestine, large intestine, esophagus). Would be doing embedding/ cutting of small biopsies with precision. Embedding, cutting, staining (95% automated) and a TON of IHC on various platforms. No frozen. Some grossing.
The position is offering permanent and temporary openings shift Monday – Friday. Looking for immediate starts. Various shifts available but mainly looking to fill evening and nights 2 PM to 11PM (second) and 10pm to 6:30 AM (third) .
Ideal Candidates:
- Must have ASCP HT/ HLT certification and Florida Histology License.
- Must have some knowledge of GI Pathology process and be able to be able to do embedding, cutting of small biopsies with precision.
- Must be able to do embedding, cutting, staining (95% automated), strong IHC on various platforms. No frozen. Some grossing.
- Must have strong knowledge of specimen processing – prepare slides for pathologists, operate computerized laboratory equipment.
