Job Title: Pediatric Cardiac ICU Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) – Locum Tenens
Location: New Orleans, LA
Pay: $120–$150/hour
Schedule: 3×12-Hour Shifts | Various shifts available : Day, Night & Weekend Rotation
Contract Length: 13–26 Weeks

A top Louisiana children’s hospital is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a locum contract in their high-acuity Cardiac ICU (CICU). This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact while earning premium pay—no long-term relocation required.
About the Hospital
This is a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and teaching hospital offering specialized care through PICU, NICU, and the largest pediatric emergency department in the region.
Responsibilities
- Manage critically ill pediatric cardiac patients
- Conduct assessments and adjust treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff
- Assist with procedures: intubation, central/arterial lines
- Titrate critical care meds and respond to emergencies
- Educate and support families during care
Requirements
- PA-C or NP with active Louisiana license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) – Required
- Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Acute Care (NPs)
- 2+ years pediatric ICU experience (CICU strongly preferred)
- Comfortable working independently, especially on night shifts
- Preferred: CCRN, ACNP, CCNP
