Facility: Renowned gulf Coast Children’s Hospital
Type: Locum Tenens or Permanent | Full-Time
Pay: $120–$150/hour + OT, On-Call Pay, Paid Housing/Travel
Palm Health Resources is excited to partner with a well-respected children's hospital in New Orleans to recruit experienced Advanced Practice Providers (PA/NP) for their Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a smaller, sophisticated pediatric heart program offering the full spectrum of congenital cardiac surgery in a dynamic, educational environment.
Position Highlights:
- Primary Role: First-assist in pediatric heart surgeries
- Patient Population: Pediatric and congenital cardiac cases
- Work Environment: Collaborative academic hospital setting with a strong focus on clinical excellence and learning
- On-Call: Rotating shared call, including weekends (no routine rounding, but available for emergencies/procedures like ECMO)
- Shifts: Flexible – Days, Nights, and Weekends available
- Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts/week
Ideal Candidate:
- Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Extensive experience in pediatric cardiac surgery or CICU/OR first-assist
- Skilled in handling high-acuity pediatric patients in a surgical and ICU setting
- Team-oriented, with strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Compensation & Benefits:
- Top-tier hourly pay: $120–$150/hour
- 1.5x overtime pay after 36 hours
