Locum Optometrist – Northern Maine – Start in July

Looking to escape the city, earn great money, and spend your summer surrounded by lakes, forests, and mountain views?
We’re seeking an experienced Optometrist for a locum assignment in Northern Maine—perfect for clinicians who enjoy travel, flexibility, and outdoor adventure while making a real impact in an underserved community.
Position Highlights
- 6-month assignment (Start in July)
- $120–$140/hour
- 4 x 10-hour shifts | No call
- ~16 patients per day
- 1 dedicated Optometric Technician
- FQHC setting
What You’ll Do
Provide comprehensive and urgent eye care, including exams, contact lenses, glaucoma and diabetic care, post-op co-management, and OCT/visual field interpretation.
Requirements
- Maine license or eligibility
- NBEO Board Certified
- DEA & BLS
- 1–2+ years’ experience
