Palm Health Resources is hiring an experienced Orthopedic Spine Surgery Physician Assistant near Houston, TX!
This is a Full Time, Locum Contract, 6-12 months, Preferably 12 month commitment, with an option to convert perm!
This is a Monday-Friday role, 8am-5pm, No weekends, No On-Call and working with a renown Orthopedic Spine Surgeon. We are hiring a candidate to handle all the Clinic patients for the Spine Surgeon and be prepared to handle an emergency surgery from time to time. Will train the candidate if needing experience in the OR. But the First assisting would only be if an emergency case, the role will be primarily clinic responsibilities.
The Physician Assistant (PA) (ACLS) functions as an advanced practice practitioner, responsible for maintaining and promoting the health of the patient requiring care, practicing medicine under the supervision of a licensed Orthopedic Spine Surgeon. This position will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and preventative care, under the supervision of a physician. The PA (ACLS) position exams, diagnoses and decides treatment for patients, including analyzing and interpreting x-rays and lab results, writes prescriptions, takes patients' histories, provides surgical assistance, and orders various forms of therapy. This position handling clinic outpatient situations and can perform independently under the license of a physician or as part of a treatment team.
