Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) / NICU Physician Assistant (Locum)

Location: Coastal New Jersey

Assignment Dates: July – December 2026

Schedule: Flexible Locum Coverage

Overview:

We are seeking experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) or NICU-experienced Physician Assistants for a high-acuity Level III NICU locum opportunity in coastal New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, well-supported environment with a flexible schedule.

Highlights:

• Level III NICU with high patient volume and acuity
• Flexible scheduling with a mix of day, night, and weekend shifts
• Strong team-based model with neonatologists, residents, and APPs
• Consistent monthly coverage (6–8 shifts per month)

Schedule Options:

• Day shifts (weekday coverage)
• Night shifts (extended coverage)
• Weekend options (12- or 24-hour shifts)
• Flexible scheduling based on availability

Clinical Environment:

• Collaborative care model with multiple providers on service
• Shared patient load across APPs, residents, and attending physicians
• Supportive academic-style setting
• Exposure to a broad range of neonatal cases

Requirements:

• Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Physician Assistant with NICU experience
• Experience in a Level III NICU required
• Ability to work a mix of shifts (nights and weekends preferred)
• Active New Jersey license or ability to obtain
