A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join its Cardiac Services / Special Procedures team. This advanced practice role provides an opportunity to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional clinical outcomes.
The Nurse Practitioner will function as a clinical expert, providing comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, patient education, and ongoing care management across the cardiac services continuum.
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | 12-Hour Shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions within scope of practice.
- Order, interpret, and utilize diagnostic testing to support clinical decision-making.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and preventive care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance enhancement activities.
- Promote patient safety, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence.
Qualifications
Education
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
Licensure & Certifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
- National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience as a Nurse Practitioner in cardiology, cardiovascular services, acute care, or procedural settings.
- Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient management skills.
