Psychiatrist – Premier Trauma & Addiction Treatment Programs – Arizona
WE are seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to join an industry-leading men's and women's treatment program in Arizona. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work with both a women's healing program and a men's sexual behavior disorder treatment program, addressing trauma, addiction, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
About the programs:
Women's Healing Program
This specialized program provides a safe and supportive environment for women struggling with intimacy disorders, sex and love addiction, emotional trauma, and co-occurring substance use or mental health conditions. Through a holistic, trauma informed approach, the program helps women break free from unhealthy behavioral patterns, heal from deeply rooted trauma, and rediscover total wellness.
Men's Sexual Behavior Disorder Treatment Program
This 45-day intensive program is designed for men struggling with sex addiction, sexual compulsions, trauma, and co-occurring substance use or mental health disorders. The program, originally developed by renowned expert Dr. Patrick Carnes, rakes a comprehensive, research-backed approach to treating compulsive sexual behaviors, internet sex addiction, and relationship addiction while addressing underlying trauma and emotional distress that drive these behaviors.
Position Highlights:
- Work across two leading programs – Treat both men and women struggling with trauma-related addiction and intimacy disorders.
- Flexible employment options – W2 or 1099 available
- Minimal On-Call Duties – Primarily phone based consults
- Hybrid Admin Work – Some administrative responsibilities can be done remotely
- Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration – Work alongside leading experts in trauma and addiction treatment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide medication management with a focus on minimizing controlled substances when appropriate
- Diagnose per DSM-V guidelines and document patient progress
- Participate in treatment team meetings and provide a psychiatric consultation
- Ensure compliance with patient safety standards and best practices
- Support the treatment of sexual behavior disorders by addressing underlying Trauma and co-occurring conditions
Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Arizona Medical License (active and in good standing)
- DEA Certification (or willingness to obtain a buprenorphine waiver)
- Experience in trauma recovery, addiction psychiatry, or sexual behavior disorders by addressing underlying trauma and co-occurring conditions.
- Strong collaborative and leadership skills
