Emergency Medicine Physician – Locum Tenens (Georgia)
12-Hour Shifts | 6-Month Assignment
We are currently seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for a 6-month locum tenens opportunity in central Georgia. This is a great fit for board-certified EM, FM, or IM physicians looking for a well-supported, community-based ED with a flexible schedule and competitive compensation.
🩺 Position Highlights
- Shifts: 12-hour blocks – 7am–7pm or 7pm–7am
- Volume: ~82 patients per day
- Annual ED Visits: ~29,800
- Admission Rate: Only 5.1%
- EMS Mix: 9.3%
- Call: None
- Beds: 14-bed Emergency Department
- Support: 24/7 APP coverage (NPs/PAs scheduled 9a–9p & 12p–12a)
- EMR: EPIC

- Duration: 6 months with option to extend
- Flexible commitment: minimum of 5 shifts/month
- Privileging: ~60 days (no expedited)
- Travel & lodging: Available
- Malpractice with tail: Provided
🎓 Requirements
- Board Certification in EM, FM, or IM (ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM, or ABIM only)
- Active Georgia license required
- ACLS & PALS certifications
- Recent ED experience in a similar volume setting
