We are hiring a pediatric cardiac intensive care unit (PCICU) in Columbus, Ohio, needs an experienced Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for locum coverage. You'll work in a 20-bed unit with attending physicians in-house 24/7.

Schedule

• Starts at the beginning of January 2027
• Up to 12 shifts per month. Full time is strongly preferred, but part time will be considered
• Shifts run 7:00pm to 7:30am, and the need is mostly nights. A rotating schedule may be possible
• You must be willing to work some weekend nights

Support and setting

• 20-bed PCICU
• 2 APPs on nights, with fellows rotating in occasionally
• 3 to 4 APPs on days
• Attending physicians in-house 24/7
• The stepdown floor has an APP with the same training who can serve as a peer resource
• The EMR is Epic
• No procedures are required

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner with Pediatric Acute Care certification (required)
• At least 2 years of pediatric CVICU experience as an APP
• An Ohio or compact license is preferred, but any state license will be considered for full-time candidates, and the facility is willing to wait on licensing
• Credentialing takes about 6 to 8 weeks
