Gastroenterologist (General / Advanced) – North Carolina
A well-established and growing gastroenterology group in North Carolina is seeking both a General Gastroenterologist and an Advanced Gastroenterologist (with ERCP/EUS). This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to join a collaborative team with excellent clinical support and immediate patient demand.
Position Highlights
- Busy, established practice with full schedules available from day one
- Diverse case mix including all endoscopy needs, clinic patients, and hospital call coverage
- Strong support system with eight full-time PAs, two of whom assist with call
- Balanced call schedule of 1:10, moving to 1:11 in 2026
- Technology-forward environment with ModMed (gMed) in the clinic and Epic in the hospital
- Procedural volume: 10–12 clinic patients per half-day, and 8 procedures per half-day in the endoscopy unit
- Conscious sedation only on rare occasions, with RN assistance
- Interview process: initial phone conversation, followed by on-site visit if both sides wish to proceed
- Start date: ASAP
Qualifications
- MD or DO with board certification/eligibility in Gastroenterology
- Training and proficiency in ERCP/EUS (preferred for Advanced GI role)
- Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality care
- Team-oriented mindset with interest in a busy, full-service practice
