We are seeking an experienced Locum Tenens Physician Assistant to support our Vascular Surgery team for a Full Time, Locum Contract, starting for 6 months! The ideal candidate will be a board-certified PA with prior vascular or surgical experience who can seamlessly integrate into a dynamic clinical environment. This role involves assisting in surgical procedures, inpatient rounding, outpatient clinic support, and pre-/post-operative patient management. Flexibility, autonomy, and excellent clinical judgment are essential.

• Provide temporary coverage for vascular surgery services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Assist vascular surgeons in open and endovascular procedures.
• Perform pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up visits.
• Manage vascular patients in the hospital, including rounding and coordinating care with the surgical team.
• Conduct wound care, dressing changes, and minor procedures as needed.
• Document clinical encounters accurately and promptly in the EMR.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Eligible for a SD License
• NCCPA certification.
• BLS/ACLS certification (active).
• Minimum 1–2 years of surgical or vascular PA experience preferred.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new settings and work independently.
