Locum Psychiatrist – Ongoing Coverage

Assignment Start: May 2026
Schedule: Full-time, ongoing locum coverage
Position Overview:
A well-established behavioral health program in the Hudson Valley region of New York is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist for full-time ongoing locum tenens coverage beginning May 2026. The incoming physician will join a collaborative multidisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists and experienced psychiatric advanced practice providers, delivering care across multiple clinical environments.
Clinical Responsibilities May Include:
- Inpatient psychiatry coverage
- Outpatient behavioral health services
- Psychiatric consultation to medical/surgical units
- Emergency department psychiatric evaluations
- Collaborative care with outpatient behavioral health centers
- Participation in interdisciplinary treatment planning
The role offers flexibility based on provider strengths and clinical interests while supporting continuity of care across the behavioral health service line.

Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active New York license (or ability to obtain)
- Experience in inpatient and/or consult psychiatry preferred
