Job Summary:

As an Echocardiographer within this Health System you will perform a variety of diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures including 2-D, M-mode, Doppler, and color flow imaging.

You’ll work directly with patients, technologists, and physicians to provide high-quality cardiac imaging that supports excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform echocardiographic diagnostic procedures as ordered by providers.
  • Explain procedures to patients with compassion and clarity.
  • Select and operate ultrasound equipment and transducers to obtain high-quality images.
  • Document and measure results accurately; prepare reports for cardiologists.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure clean, safe, and organized workspaces.
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Support department policies, quality assurance, and infection control protocols.
  • Participate in professional development, training, and team meetings.

Qualifications:

Required Education:

  • Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Required)

Required Certifications:

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Keen eye for image quality and detail
  • Strong patient care and clinical assessment skills
  • Tech-savvy with ability to use imaging equipment and reporting software
