Job Summary:
As an Echocardiographer within this Health System you will perform a variety of diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures including 2-D, M-mode, Doppler, and color flow imaging.
You’ll work directly with patients, technologists, and physicians to provide high-quality cardiac imaging that supports excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiographic diagnostic procedures as ordered by providers.
- Explain procedures to patients with compassion and clarity.
- Select and operate ultrasound equipment and transducers to obtain high-quality images.
- Document and measure results accurately; prepare reports for cardiologists.
- Maintain equipment and ensure clean, safe, and organized workspaces.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Support department policies, quality assurance, and infection control protocols.
- Participate in professional development, training, and team meetings.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
- Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Required)
Required Certifications:
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Keen eye for image quality and detail
- Strong patient care and clinical assessment skills
- Tech-savvy with ability to use imaging equipment and reporting software
